Bollywood diva Malaika Arora inaugurates 'The Hair Project Luxury Salon & Academy'

 


Mohali: There is good news for beauty-conscious denizens of tricity. 'The Hair Project Luxury Salon and Academy', the region’s first state-of-the-art facility, offering wholesome hair, beauty, and skin services, was inaugurated by the famous Bollywood diva, Malaika Arora.

Located on Airport Road, in Sector 79, Mohali, 'The Hair Project' is a one-point innovative solution to one's beauty and hair needs. Ranjana Thakur,  a Co-Founder of  The Hair Project, said: “The Hair Project will be rooted in specialism. We are going to use premium products. Products like– Moroccan oils, South African tree oil as moisturizer, and scrubs that are organic and natural wil be used. Skin beauty and hair will be taken care of along with nail art. We have roped in Tony with 20 years of experience in tricity and even in Middle East who can cut hair blindfolded.”

She added that 'The Hair Project Luxury Salon and Academy' is certified by Otabu Global Services, a UK-based firm. “The Hair Project Luxury Salon and Academy is entirely different and will create a benchmark in the industry,” said Ranjana.

The other Co-Founder Siddharth Sabharwal, an interior designer who has done the interiors of the Salon reflecting further, said: “As far as the ambience goes, the salon exudes luxury and has tasteful colours, which are a mix of light white and golden shades. The chandeliers are quite attractive and provide an ethereal touch to the salon, which is spread over the ground and basement floors.”

Ranjana, who did months of market research before establishing The Hair Project Luxury Salon and Academy, has roped in a Middle East-based corporate to invest in the salon. “ *We have a plan to open two more salons, luxury bars cum lounges each in Chandigarh and Panchkula in a year,” she said.

Performed poetry marks the formal launch of poetry book ‘Uns’

Chandigarh:  Nisha Luthra, a Chandigarh based theatre director and founder of The Narrators, a performing arts society, has penned her maiden book of poetry - 'Uns.' 'Uns' was formally and very uniquely unveiled through a 'performed poetry' presentation at the world famous Rock Garden. A music and dance recital was showcased as part of the performed poetry presentation by city based contemporary dance artiste Puneet Jewandah and Bharatnatyam virtuoso Varun Khanna to the accompaniment of  live tabla and violin.
