Chandigarh: Nisha Luthra, a Chandigarh based theatre director and founder of The Narrators, a performing arts society, has penned her maiden book of poetry - 'Uns.' 'Uns' was formally and very uniquely unveiled through a 'performed poetry' presentation at the world famous Rock Garden.

A music and dance recital was showcased as part of the performed poetry presentation by city based contemporary dance artiste Puneet Jewandah and Bharatnatyam virtuoso Varun Khanna to the accompaniment of  live tabla and violin. The performance was based on the poetry in ‘Uns’ and was conceived and directed by the writer Nisha Luthra herself.

"My book is a showcase depicting multifaceted aspects of human sentiments. The performed poetry was an apt tribute to the theme of 'Uns'. I am happy that the expressive dance performance as lines of poems from my book were recited gave the whole launch event an ethereal feel," said Nisha Luthra, who is also a pioneer of the art of 'performed poetry' in the region.
