Six outstanding bloggers from Chandigarh get national recognition from Bloggers Alliance

Chandigarh: A Bloggers Meet and Awards ceremony was held at Chandigarh Press Club here today under the aegis of the Chandigarh Chapter of Bloggers Alliance, in which bloggers and influencers discussed the new trends in blogging. The speakers motivated the bloggers to bring forth unheard, untold stories which are not covered in the traditional media. Psychologist Rajshree Sarda was the chief guest, while Radio Broadcasting Expert and Editor Hardeep Chandpuri was the guest of honour.

Dr Amit Nagpal, National President of Bloggers Alliance informed the bloggers, journalists and others about 15 important milestones achieved by the Bloggers Alliance during the 30-month journey. The BA recently became the knowledge partner of Reliance Jio.

 


Narvijay Yadav, Sr Journalist, Columnist and President, Chandigarh Chapter of Bloggers Alliance, said that in the last two years, apart from one program in Leh, book release, blogger meet and storytelling sessions, a Twitter chat was also started last year, which has completed 78 sessons. He emphasized on bringing out the untold stories.

Awards and lifetime membership certificates were given to five prominent bloggers, including Prof. Archana R Singh, Mass Communication Dept, PU; Ankit Mahajan, travel blogger; Karina Bedi, lifestyle blogger; Divya Azad, plus size model, Munish Puri, YouTuber and Dr Sonica Krishan, Wellness Blogger.

Devendra Jaiswal, Co-Founder, Bloggers Alliance and Kids Choupal, said, “The Student Wing of the Bloggers Alliance guides student influencers through live projects, paid internships, campus ambassador programs, etc. The Alliance promotes the idea that creativity alone can lead to a culture of innovation in the organisations.'’

The programme was also graced by Architect Manmohan Khanna, Renuka Salwan (PR Director, PU), AS Parashar (Editor in Chief, Punjab Express), Dr. Vandana Shukla (Author & Journalist), Vani (Novelist) and Gargi Arora (Psychotherapist).

Performed poetry marks the formal launch of poetry book ‘Uns’

Chandigarh:  Nisha Luthra, a Chandigarh based theatre director and founder of The Narrators, a performing arts society, has penned her maiden book of poetry - 'Uns.' 'Uns' was formally and very uniquely unveiled through a 'performed poetry' presentation at the world famous Rock Garden. A music and dance recital was showcased as part of the performed poetry presentation by city based contemporary dance artiste Puneet Jewandah and Bharatnatyam virtuoso Varun Khanna to the accompaniment of  live tabla and violin. The performance was based on the poetry in ‘Uns’ and was conceived and directed by the writer Nisha Luthra herself. "My book is a showcase depicting multifaceted aspects of human sentiments.
