Dictatorial attitude of UP govt unparalleled: Cong leader Damanvir Phillaur

Chandigarh: "Democracy has been reduced to a mere sham by CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath. He has proved that he is the biggest dictator of all times. Instead of arresting those behind the dastardly mowing down of Sikh farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri, he and his police administration are  busy detaining Congress leaders from all over India particularly Punjab, who tried to reach Lakhimpur Kheri to wipe the tears of the nears and dears of those massacred in the violence. The SUV which mowed down the farmers belonged to none other than the son of BJP leader Ajay Mishra, who is also MoS Home in the central government. So the UP government is busy protecting his son," said Damanvir Phillaur in a strongly worded statement given at Chandigarh

"The FIR registered against Mishra's son Ashish Mishra also seems to be an eyewash as the mastermind of the massacre is still roaming free. Ironically in Yogi's UP instead of culprits, those who are trying to reach out to the distraught and inconsolable nears and dears of the four Sikh farmers, are being detained. Priyanka Gandhi is still under detention. She should be released from detention immediately and be allowed to meet the deceased farmers' kin,” added Phillaur, who is also the founder of Phillaur People’s Forum (PPF).

Power seems to have blinded BJP and the party will be taught a lesson in the upcoming polls in UP. The party will also be decimated at the national level, due to the involvement of BJP leaders in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, asserted Phillaur.

Not only Mohali in the  Chandigarh  capital region, but most of the other Tier II and III cities of the State are attracting investors.  The current dispensation led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann seems to be keen to promote the realty sector, as the government knows well that the real estate sector will give a significant push to the state’s economy. It is indeed encouraging to notice the entry of major real estate developers in the state and it is very promising for this segment’s revival. This shall not only boost the economy of the state but also bring diversity in terms of the architecture, green building aspect, and long-term sustainability of the sector. Shams...
